Back To Your Future is an international youth mentoring and empowerment programme implemented by the Foundation for the Support and Development of Mentoring Programmes Older Brother, Older Sister in cooperation with the company TESYA and the organisation Italian Centre for Lifelong Learning (CIAPE), a non-profit partner specialised in education, training and competence development. The programme aims to support young people in developing their personal and professional potential through individual mentoring relationships, experience sharing and activities that contribute to their empowerment for future educational and career challenges.
Through the programme, young people are connected with mentors – employees of successful companies who dedicate their knowledge, experience and time to supporting young people in recognising their own potential and finding direction for their future. Mentors become trusted supporters and guides, helping young participants build self-confidence, improve their skills and gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them.
The Back To Your Future programme was launched by TESYA with the aim of creating a positive impact in the communities where it operates, placing people at the centre of its activities. In cooperation with CIAPE and an international network of partners, the programme is implemented in several European countries, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Slovenia, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina it is implemented through the partnership between the Foundation Older Brother, Older Sister and the company TESYA.
Through mentoring meetings, coaching sessions, workshops and practical activities, programme participants work on self-awareness, identifying their strengths, setting goals and developing personal and professional skills. Special attention is dedicated to strengthening communication, organisational and other competencies that can support young people in continuing their education, entering the labour market and actively participating in society.
The value of the programme lies in creating meaningful relationships between young people and mentors, based on trust, support and experience sharing. While young participants gain the opportunity to learn from professionals with experience in the business environment and receive encouragement throughout their personal development journey, mentors strengthen their own leadership, communication and social skills while contributing to positive change in their communities.
