The Foundation for the Support and Development of Mentoring Programs Older Brother, Older Sister is dedicated to supporting children and young people who grow up in challenging life circumstances. Through our mentoring programs, we connect mentees (children) with carefully selected mentors (adults) who provide stability, safety, and a consistent presence that positively shapes their everyday lives.
Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful companionship, consistent support, and a sense of belonging can have a lasting positive impact on a child’s development. Through shared activities, open conversations, and everyday experiences, we create a safe and supportive environment where children build self-confidence, develop essential skills, and feel seen and valued.
The Mission of the Foundation is to enable the implementation of mentoring programs by strengthening partner organizations and volunteers, and through cooperation with institutions, providing positive role models for children and young people across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Vision is that children and young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina have equal opportunities to develop life skills necessary for healthy growth and to take responsibility for building a just society.
The General Goal of the Foundation is reflected in nurturing universal human values through volunteerism, advocacy, support, and philanthropic action, contributing to the healthy development of children and young people so they may become responsible and exemplary members of society.
We believe in the power of community and that meaningful change begins with offering time, care, and understanding. This is why we work every day to show children that they are not alone and that their stories matter.
