Kindness always finds its way back!
The Older Brother, Older Sister program has been implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina for over 20 years and is well recognized by the community and civil society organizations. Every year, more organizations express interest in implementing this program, and the number of potential volunteers continues to grow. Through the Older Brother, Older Sister Network, more than 1,750 children and volunteers have participated. Unfortunately, the number of children in need of mentoring far exceeds this number. The inclusion of new organizations, as well as children and volunteers, depends entirely on financial resources.
The average costs for one child‑volunteer pair are as follows:
- Basic package: 700 BAM / 350 EUR – this amount covers a monthly allowance of 70 BAM (35 EUR) per child for 10 months;
- Standard package: 1,200 BAM / 600 EUR – includes the allowance and group activities for one pair during a cycle;
- Full packag: 1,800 BAM / 900 EUR – in addition to the allowance and group activities, it includes counseling support, supervision, and administrative costs for one pair during a cycle.
We invite all interested institutions, companies, and individual donors to support a child‑volunteer pair throughout their ten-month engagement by contributing one of the amounts listed above.
